The Year in Review

Another BSF year comes to a close. Tomorrow is sharing day.

My "Aha" moments in studying the book of Romans:

• Be more diligent about prayer, especially before reading Bible
• The more dedicated I am to my own agenda, the harder I will fall when God uses me for His glory.
• What is separating me from God in everyday life? How often have I rationalized it?
• Am I purposefully setting time aside for studying God's Word?
• Giving in to temptation in one area makes it easier for us to give in in another area.
• Romans 8:28 -- the "good" is to be conformed to the likeness of Jesus, not rich, healthy, or successful
• Am I actually enriching the lives around me?

A big theme this year for me was immediate gratification, especially in the areas of finances and food. Praise God for the awareness of these problems, and praise God that steps have been made to correct those problems! ( And praise God that I have even lost about 5 pounds in the process!)
