I have struggled with this topic since I have had children. Jesus kept a busier schedule than I do. Still, He managed to get up "Very early in the morning, while it was still dark..." (v35) and pray.
I guess that means I need to discipline myself to go to bed early!

- I grew up believing that I could earn my acceptance from God. I wasn’t comfortable talking about God to other people and thought the people who did were definitely weird. It wasn’t until I was “missionary dated” in physical therapy school that I understood the cross. The man I was dating asked me where I thought I would go when I died. I, of course, told him that I thought I would be good enough for heaven. When he started challenging my deeply rooted beliefs, boy was I mad! Then he pointed to scripture, especially Romans. Slowly my wall of self-righteousness was being chipped away. I know I am Christ’s child now. I know my salvation comes through faith in Jesus alone. Without Him in my life, I would not have the desire to get to know Him more and more. I see Him at work in my life. I love watching God place people in my path. Now I am the “weird” one talking about Jesus... “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
