What I got out of the lecture:
Finally, the phrase which most succinctly describes Matthew 13:12 : If you don't use it, you'll lose it...
("Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever doesn't have, even what he has will be taken from him.")
It is so true! The longer I stay away from digging into the Word, the harder it is to keep my mind focused on God. The more I dig in, the more I want to dig in!
